We have used Complete Carpentry for more than twelve months for a range of different things. Phil and Iain are professional, quick and competitively priced. Their workmanship is spot on and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

After interviewing 3 building firms for my kitchen project Complete Building Solutions were the firm favourite, and this did not rest on price alone. I wanted people in my house who were not only trustworthy, extremely competent in their skills, both practical and in project management, but with whom I would enjoy spending time. They were key holders, accepted deliveries for me and dealt with any material supply problems as they arose.

When a problem was encountered in the early stages of demolition they suggested an acceptable solution, procured both the necessary professional services and the materials very quickly, thus averting what could have been a lengthy delay. Communication was easy, they stuck to the agreed schedule as far as was possible, and suggested design modifications which improved the overall appearance of the kitchen/utility/dining room.

They have a great work ethic, have contacts with other equally professional trades, and I am very pleased with the result. I am considering further projects – an extension or conservatory and new bathrooms, and have complete faith in them understanding my vision and building/installing these to my satisfaction.

Phil Adams and Iain Harris have recently built a second storey extension for me. I am now the delighted owner of an extremely well constructed en-suit and sun room.

Their workmanship and eye for detail has been outstanding, with utmost consideration for me during the inevitable upheaval. I have been consulted and informed daily about the progress expected and the house has been left as clean and tidy as possible every evening.

Complete Building Solutions undertook an extended garage conversion for us in Nov / Dec 2018 at our semi-detached house in the Newport area of Barnstaple; creating a new guest room, shower room and utility room. From quote through to completion, Phil and Ian provided a first-class professional service.

They were always ready for work at 8.00am each day and after a day’s work left the site immaculately tidy. The skills of Phil and Ian are of the highest standard, as evidenced by their pride in the finishing achieved, of special note is their carpentry skills, which can make all the difference to a conversion like this.

In addition, the scheduling of plumbers, electrician and plasterer was spot-on, enabling the project to run as smoothly as we could have hoped for; the skills of these trades were also of the highest standard. We’re sure Complete Building Solutions must gain a lot of work through word-of-mouth and we have no hesitation in recommending them; they are also thoroughly nice people!”

Phil, Iain and the team have recently renovated our kitchen & removed a fireplace in another room for us. To say we are delighted with the results is an understatement. The finished kitchen looks absolutely amazing!

The floor is level, the walls plasterboarded and skimmed, new ceiling created and pipes boxed in. We were fortunate enough that the team could accommodate us by completing the work while while we were on a week’s holiday. Coming back to find the majority of the work done, kitchen reinstalled and everything connected and working just demonstrates how hard they worked and how considerate they are. Not to mention new lighting and sockets.

From arranging the initial quote to finishing the work it has been a pleasure working with complete building solutions. We shall certainly use them in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I first met Phil and Iain, whilst I was working as a Building Control Surveyor for North Devon Council. They have since gone on to carry out work on my behalf on my family home. At all times I found them to be honest, prompt and could not fault their level of workmanship. I found we were able to have open discussions on what might be the best way to overcome certain detailing/design issues and always found their input and experience highly valuable. They have a brilliant eye for detail and take great pride in the work they produce.
